Hey there! Im Sarah! I was born and raised in Fresno, California. I am married to my amazing husband and we are the proud parents of our two daughters, baby boy, my stepdaughter, and stepson.

I became interested in birth work through my own personal struggles. My first birth was less than ideal. It ended in an emergency c-section and a nicu stay for my daughter.

My second birth, I wanted a vbac but didn’t do much to educate myself or prepare for my birth and ended with a repeat c-section. Following that birth I struggled majorly with postpartum anxiety. I researched a ton on holistic methods to heal from postpartum anxiety. That’s when I came across placenta encapsulation and nutrition amongst several other things that I implemented in my life. Unfortunately it was too late to encapsulate my placenta, but my nutrition was something I was able to change at that time. And what a change it made! I was feeling so much better both mentally and physically. It cured more than what I had originally hoped for.

In the 5 years between my second and third pregnancies, I researched birth and postpartum a lot! during this time, I trained with PBI and IPPA to offer placenta encapsulation services. even 3 years later, I absolutely love hearing the feedback I get from moms on how much it helps with their postpartum recovery.

For my third birth, I wanted a completely different experience. I educated myself, prepared, and had a supportive birth team which included my husband, my birth doula, and a local home birth midwife. Although I didn’t get the home birth I had hoped for, I had the most amazing birth experience that left me feeling on cloud 9. I was able to have my vaginal birth after 2 c-sections! And I had a postpartum experience that didn’t leave me completely drained. From that birth experience, I learned that birth doesn’t have to go exactly as planned to have a good experience. My birth did not unfold the way I had hoped and I still loved it! What made all the difference was feeling supported, being informed, and making my own decisions.

After training with birth worker academy and becoming a perinatal nutrition expert through the food doula, I am so ready to offer doula services and perinatal nutrition services to better serve moms through their pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey!
