Nutrients and Hormones

Vitamin B6

Vitamin B6 is important in maintaining a healthy immune system and nervous system. It has also been shown to reduce depression!

HPL

HPL helps to breakdown fats and carbohydrates to be used for energy. Also prepares mammary glands for lactation.

CRH

Your CRH levels drastically drop after giving birth. Regulating CRH may help prevent depression.

Iron

Low levels of iron mean less oxygen is getting to your tissues and muscles which can often lead to fatigue, weakness, and depression.

Vitamin B12

Vitamin B12 helps prevent iron deficiency, is great for giving you a boost of energy, and also acts as a mood enhancer to reduce depression.

Cortisol

Cortisol regulates metabolism, reduces inflammation, and helps control blood pressure.

Stem Cells

Stem cells help your body heal and recover from birth.

Oxytocin

This is what most people know as the love hormone. It promotes mama baby bonding and also encourages the release of milk. Oxytocin boosts your mood, encourages relaxation, reduces stress, and helps your uterus shrink back down to its original size.

Placental Growth Hormone

Helps to breakdown stored fat and safely transfer them to baby.

Estrogen and Progesterone

These two hormones are mood stabilizers. After birth estrogen and progesterone drop to extremely low levels which causes the mama to be weepy, irritable, and experience the baby blues.

Placental Opioid-Enhancing Factor

This enhances your bodies natural opioids, which includes opioids, to reduce pain.

Interferon

Proteins that trigger a defensive response to inhibit virus reproduction and fight off infections.

IgG

This antibody protects the body from infection.

Phosphorus

Aids in digestion, balances hormones, and is needed for the body to repair cells and tissues.

Prolactin

Prolactin is the milk production hormone. This hormone promotes lactation and increases milk supply.

Thyroid Stimulating Hormone

This regulates the thyroid, boosts energy, and stimulates metabolism.

Prostaglandins

Prostaglandins encourage contractions in order to help the uterus return to its prebaby size.
